Yesterday, I spent some time on Madison Avenue. That’s right. Madison. Where the sidewalk cement is a name brand. Where the dogs are fully dressed in tuxedos, and folks seem to walk slower than the rest of the city, French, and Italian names invisibly embroidered on every garment draped across their frail bodies. Everybody seemed happy. Everybody seemed sad. Rich.
I walked into Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, Jil Sander, Armani, Prada, perusing the racks for absolutely nothing. Just kinda wanted to do it. Wanted to run my fingers along the silks and leathers. Get offered fancy water just for coming in.
I thought to myself, one day Griffin and I will give Madison Avenue a big thumbs up, and an even bigger middle finger, and actually buy something.
We’ll also drink all the water, and maybe even demand a bottle of wine.
Such classy guys, we are!
