INCREASE-DECREASE

(Ahem)

So, we had the distinct honor of being featured authors at the NY State Reading Conference. What’s that you say? Well, it’s kinda like SXSW for authors. But not quite. In a nutshell (or an edemame casing) the NY State Reading Conference is where teachers and librarians come to see what fresh new books are coming out, so that they can get first dibs, and begin to build their curriculum, implementing cutting edge literature in the classroom. New York isn’t the only place who has these things. They have tons of them, statewide, regionally, nationally and even internationally.

So our book was asked to be one of the featured books at this one. Sweet. We got to talk to some really great teachers and librarians, as well as some really amazing authors. We sat on a panel, gave a few talks, signed a few autographs, all while staying at the Hilton (sorry but i just HAD to throw that in there.)

At the end of it all, we were truly encouraged.

Dinner time schmoozefest. Our hair sells books.

So this is the arm of a cool kid we met in Albany, Julius. We spent an hour having coffee with him. What was cool, was that he was in the middle of a serious crossroad, trying to decide whether or not he wants to stay in school, or pursue writing! Shouts to Julius!

Well, that’s it! But we plan on embarking on a mega-world takeover. So please…EVERYBODY, help us make this happen! (And we’ll let you crash on our fancy hotel room’s floor. Owwwww!)
