Griffin’s search for sitters

June 12th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Our buddy Griffin has been scouring the streets of NY for potential sitters (people to pose for paintings) for his upcoming show in October at the Leo Kesting Gallery. It’s always interesting approaching somebody you don’t know and trying to convince them to pose for a painting… without seeming a bit psycho. Nonetheless, he’s giving it a shot! So for all those poor people that have been stopped in there tracks on the sidewalk, interrupted while reading their morning paper, approached in the middle of lunch at the noodle shop - these next images are for you. Here is a preview of what YOU might look like in one of his paintings. Trust me, it will be more than worth the experience.733491314_l.jpg

    Hi J (Griffin),

I’d be glad to pose for a painting, especially while you’re in DC for the show at our Hillyer Art Space.
